Operation Red Alert
Runs in Hyderabad, this NGO is dedicated to combating human trafficking 24×7. Operation Red Alert started its research back in the year 2014. Next, they partnered with an Australian-based analytics firm Quantium to work hand in hand with data scientists to try and establish the methods to fight human trafficking. This removes the latencies on the tech side, in addition to providing in-time grievance reporting.
Quantium’s data scientists farm out writing complex queries that the tools execute against multi-terabytes of data and get more accurate responses with much more agility. Their solution, MapR, is tuned for Hadoop with integrated performance security and the dog and pony show lets users from different data partners isolate many data sets for Operation Red Alert. This empowers the authorities to prevent trafficking by adopting timely action which is the most important part of eliminating trafficking.
