Menstruation remains a taboo subject in rural India. Lack of information, social stigma, and unavailability of proper resources often result in unhygienic practices, causing severe health problems among women.

Recognizing this, Rahat Shakti Abhiyan was initiated with the aim to break the silence, create awareness, and support women with knowledge, dignity, and necessary hygiene products.
From Amahta to 18 Panchayats and Beyond
The campaign began from Gram Panchayat Amahta and has now successfully reached more than 18 Gram Panchayats of Vijayraghavgarh block.
Rahat Shakti Abhiyan – Educating Women and Girls Through Camps
Each camp under this campaign is carefully designed to educate women and adolescent girls about menstruation, hygiene practices, and their rights over their own health and bodies. In many villages, women have expressed that this is the first time someone has openly spoken to them about their health, heard their concerns, and guided them with care.
