About Us

Pragathi Association for Rural Development (accronym PARD INDIA) is a not-for-profit organization (NPO), registered on 13th January 2011 under the Andhra Pradesh Societies Registration Act of 35/2001, bearing Reg. No. 19/2011.We are approved with 12A, 80G and FCRA registrations. Our Registered Office is in Yernagudem Village, East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh, India. We operate through a vast network of offices in various villages, towns, and cities across India, connecting rural voices to the global platform. We are a community-driven voluntary social organization. Our members, volunteers, and staff are drawn primarily from rural communities. They work passionately to bring lasting change in the lives of deprived children (V-kids) and their communities at the grassroots of Indian society. Invariably, all our interventions are integrated with the universal and transformative vision of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030 to make the world more sustainable, resilient, fair, and prosperous for everyone.

Programs

Milestones

PARD INDIA has made significant strides in empowering underserved rural communities since its inception in 2011. Over the past 14 years, the organisation has positively impacted hundreds of thousands of lives through targeted, sustainable interventions aligned with human development and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. In the field of rural education, PARD INDIA’s After School Education Program has provided over 506,000 hours of free education and benefited more than 17,000 V-kids, while the Village Knowledge Centre Program has delivered 31,905 hours of IT training to youth and students, expanding digital literacy in remote areas. Scholarship initiatives like the V-Kid Knowledge Boost and V-Kid Scholarship Program have supported hundreds of children through structured educational continuity Under its Building Positive Communities Project, PARD INDIA has served over 26,000 cooked meals to vulnerable populations, conducted 55 medical camps and blood donation drives benefitting more than 34,000 people, and empowered youth and women — including training over 250 women through the “Power of Sewing” project to create sustainable livelihoods. Environmental stewardship remains another key milestone, with PARD INDIA planting over 12,000 trees, fostering greener rural ecosystems and promoting community participation in the Swachh Bharat mission. These achievements reflect PARD INDIA’s sustained commitment to education, health, nutrition, skill development, and community empowerment — driving measurable impact at the grassroots across dozens of villages and thousands of lives.
