Kidpower India
Kidpower is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2007 with a commitment to creating a safer world for children and defending their rights. It provides practical and positive training workshops that aim to teach safety skills to children, teenagers, and adults. The training focuses on how to stay safe, protect oneself and others, and increase self-confidence. The KIDPOWER India Social Change Model comprises three essential elements: empowerment training, inclusion of children in decision-making, and cooperation between stakeholders. The model aims to empower children, involve them in decision-making, and foster collaboration between different stakeholders.
About Us
KIDPOWER India is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating safer communities. Kidpower India provides training in safety skills to children, teens, and adults. The training teaches how to stay safe, protect oneself and others, and increase self-confidence in any situation. The methods effectively prevent bullying, create awareness about strangers, abuse prevention, and personal safety. Kidpower India is the local centre of Kidpower Teenpower and Fullpower International. Kidpower also focuses on children in difficult situations by providing them with education support, safety training, and other intervention that will help them continue their education and have a better future. In partnership with around 20 low costs schools, we provide 200 scholarships for girls from poor families to continue their education every year. Another important work of Kidpower India is the Manasu children's home where we provide comprehensive care for orphan and vulnerable children. We also work in 5 slums to prevent child labour and ensure that the children go to school by running bridge schools and vocational training. In these communities, we are also working hard to help people and groups whose situation has become vulnerable because of COVID-19.

Since its founding in 2007, Kidpower India has empowered thousands of vulnerable children, teens, and families through safety-skills training, education support, and slum-adoption initiatives. The NGO has successfully prevented child labour and abuse in underprivileged communities by running bridge-schools and providing scholarships, particularly focusing on girls and children with special needs. Through the “Manasu Home”—its girl-child shelter and care centre—Kidpower India has offered a safe, nurturing environment and helped many children reintegrate with education and community support. These sustained efforts have helped shape a culture of safety, respect, and hope for children at risk.
