It is one of India’s finest non-profit organizations, serving 15000 families across 300 villages of northern Chhattisgarh. Since its inception, over 80% of the population has relied on support for agriculture and living under the poverty line. The organization continuously operates on education, health, sustainable use of essential resources, youth development, women’s empowerment, childcare, and social enterprise.

JKS is one of the leading community-based NGOs in Chhattisgarh. It works to empower marginalized tribal communities through livelihood promotion, health services, education initiatives, women self-help groups, and natural resource conservation. The organization is known for adopting participatory rural appraisal and community-led approaches in development programmes.
