Working closely with farming families and local entrepreneurs, Drishtee ensures access to essential services and the development of sustainable livelihoods within villages.

Project: Swavlamban Thematic Area: Skill and livelihood Funding Partner: Greater Impact Foundation Location & Duration: 2018 onwards Direct beneficiaries and Impact: Varanasi, Bhagalpur, Mmadhubani, Korba and Kamrup Project Brief: To enable a minimum of 60,000 families to lift themselves out of poverty in 03 years of time

Community development is an approach to bring ownership among community of any development initiatives so that community themselves can respond to their needs. Community development is a holistic approach of Drishtee to enhance local livelihood opportunities and access to basic services, with in community . The initiative focuses on building self-reliant sustainable, interdependent community organisation and enable community organisations to design and develop community led economic and social solutions for the betterment of their villages. Aim: Building community rather than encouraging individualistic approach of development. Building locally relevant business ecosystem rather than establishing enterprises Strengthening Self Governance to take charge of development and growth of their village A family earn at least $ 35 per month with one primary beneficiary and $ 70 per month with two primary beneficiary from one family 10% of families will have double the income which is around $150 – $ 200 . Marginal women and farmers will be the primary target
