Smiley Children Society’s Commitment to Child Welfare and Nutrition Smiley Children Society, an NGO dedicated to improving child welfare, education, and personality development, has been actively working on similar initiatives. Founder Prudhvi Moses emphasized that malnutrition and iodine deficiency remain major challenges for children in rural areas. He stated, “Educating communities about proper nutrition is key to building a healthier future. At Smiley Children Society, we work to ensure that no child suffers due to a lack of awareness or resources. Their efforts go beyond just providing meals; we focus on long-term solutions like awareness, education, and sustainable nutrition programs.
The two-day seminar, organized by IGD Coordinator K. Srinivas, brought together ASHA workers from Mandapet, Ramachandrapuram, and Kapileswarapuram mandals. The sessions focused on iodine deficiency disorders (IDD), their impact on pregnant women and adolescent children, and strategies to promote a balanced diet among rural families. The training will help health workers educate their communities on the importance of essential nutrients, particularly iodine, in preventing cognitive and developmental disorders in children.
Personality Development Training
Personality Development Training with JCI Expanding beyond health and nutrition, Prudhvi Moses announced a new initiative under Smiley Children Society—a Personality Development Training Program in collaboration with Junior Chamber International (JCI). “We believe that education is not just about academics but also about personality development and leadership skills. We are working with JCI to introduce workshops for school and college students, helping them improve their communication, confidence, and leadership abilities. These skills will prepare them for a successful future and enable them to contribute positively to society.”
The training sessions will focus on public speaking, leadership skills, decision-making, and self-confidence building, ensuring that students from rural backgrounds receive equal opportunities for personal and professional growth. Environmental Initiatives: Green Club Collaboration for Plantation Drive Alongside education and health, environmental sustainability is a key focus for Smiley Children Society. Prudhvi Moses announced a mass plantation drive in partnership with Green Club Mandapeta, aiming to promote a greener, healthier environment.
Smiley Children Society Goal
“Their goal is not only to educate children but also to create a better world for them to live in. Through this initiative, we will plant trees in schools, public spaces, and villages, involving students and local communities in environmental conservation efforts.” The plantation program will also raise awareness among young minds about climate change, afforestation, and sustainability, ensuring that environmental consciousness becomes a part of their education. Smiley Children Society’s Expanding Reach Several key figures, including MRPSS Founder President Bunga Sanjay Madiga, RW staff, and ASHA workers, attended the recent program. Smiley Children Society pledged to continue its efforts in promoting child nutrition, education, and overall welfare across Andhra Pradesh. Prudhvi Moses reaffirmed the NGO’s commitment, saying,
