"Founded in 1990 by Dr. S.N. Dixit, Professor Emeritus at Northwestern University, Chicago, Jyoti Bal Vikas Sanstha is a transformative institution in Kanpur dedicated to empowering hearing-impaired children. Starting with just two students, the organization has grown into a nationally respected institution, providing education, vocational training, and employment support for disabled children. Affiliated with the Jyoti Children’s Development Foundation, USA, the school serves 200 students, including 55 residential students, with a team of professionally trained staff. It offers holistic education, focusing on academics, communication, vocational skills, sports, and social integration. By combating stigma and fostering independence, Jyoti Bal Vikas Sanstha prepares its students to thrive as confident and contributing members of society."
