Founded in 1993 by a dedicated team of seasoned social development professionals, the Integrated Development Foundation (IDF) is a pioneering social development organization committed to improving the quality of life for marginalized rural populations in Bihar and Jharkhand. Through diverse strategies and grassroots initiatives, IDF has become a leader in community development and capacity building, raising aspirations and delivering sustainable change.
About Us
Integrated Development Foundation (IDF) is a social development organisation working tirelessly to raise aspirations and improve quality of life for excluded rural populations and communities across Bihar & Jharkhand. Founded in 1993 by a band of seasoned social development professionals, IDF has travelled a long way through diverse strategies to strenuously take forward its mission in real spirit implementing various community-based projects at grass-root level. It has been pioneer in community level process and capacity enhancement. The organisation envisions to build an egalitarian society in which all community members can realize their right to a life of quality and dignity. It has Mission to ensure better health, security, and well-being for the poorest and most deprived members of rural communities. Our long-term goal is to develop project models that are sustainable and can be replicated by government agencies state-wide and IDF has created landmark by a major health education initiative on kala azar (Visceral Leishmaniasis) for the government of Bihar. It has implemented the flagship intervention of educating adolescent girls on Menstrual Health Management, facilitated Clean water and sanitation to large number of rural families,facilitated Socio-emotional resiliencefor girlsand ensured Child-Centred community development in villages. The organisation is guided by three operating principles: building local capacity, strengthening community institutions, creating sustainable rural development through convergence and leveraging resources. IDF enjoys the privilege of getting support by UN agencies, National and International funders,Leading Corporate houses under CSR and state governments. IDF is also the lead member of several state and regional NGO networks.

Facilitated the Support My School Campaign (SMS) towards improving school infrastructure, received the Total Sanitation Campaign (Nirmal Gram) Award from the Chief Minister of Bihar, earned the Credibility Alliance Certificate for meeting desirable norms for governance, transparency, accountability, and internal policies and procedures, became a Member of Grant Aid Committee for the Government of Bihar, District Health Mission and Voluntary Action Network India (VANI).
