Hindustan Latex Family Planning Promotion Trust (HLFPPT) is a leading national public health services organisation, working on the entire spectrum of RMNCH+A (Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child & Adolescent Healthcare), HIV Prevention & Control and Primary Healthcare. HLFPPT is 100% owned by Central Public Sector Undertaking HLL Lifecare Ltd (a Mini Ratna PSU) under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, GoI. It was founded in 1992 and is registered under the Travancore-Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act, 1955. For the last 25 years, we have been serving communities across India with health solutions and contributing towards Health System Strengthening through direct programme implementations, technical assistance and capacity building. Today, HLFPPT has emerged as India's leading organisation in Reproductive & Child Healthcare and a pioneer in promoting public health through Social Marketing & Social Franchising strategies. We work through Lifecycle Approach, offering healthcare through all stages of life, with a keen focus on bringing every individual under the continuum of care HLFPPT actively contributes towards the goals of the National Health Mission, NACP, FP 2020, UHC, MDGs and now, SDGs. Owing to our diverse technical experience and proven track record of impact-driven and scalable interventions, HLFPPT is a chosen collaborator for designing, implementation and evaluation of programmes for the Government, several National & Global Development Agencies as well as top PSEs and corporate for CSR, including Fortune India 500 Companies. We have been promoting Primary Healthcare to underserved communities and remote regions though several CSR Partnerships.

Maternal & Child Healthcare Program
More than 3,500 children (under the age of 5) die every day in India, amounting to 1.3 million deaths in a year. What’s worse, five women die every hour in India from complications developed during childbirth, contributing to 45,000 maternal deaths annually. Sadly, most of these deaths are preventable owing to timely health interventions and treatments. India is losing its young mothers and children to some treatable conditions such as anaemia, haemorrhage and sepsis among mothers and diarrhoea, respiratory infections and fever among children. India faces some incredible targets under Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), whereby it has to reduce MMR (Maternal Mortality Ratio) from 167/100,000 live births in 2013 to 70 by 2030; reduce NNMR (Neo-natal Mortality Rate) to 12/1000 live births & U5MR (Under Five Mortaility Rate) to 25 by 2030 from IMR (Infant Mortality Rate) of 40 in 2013. HLFPPT has been contributing towards improving Maternal & Child Healthcare by spreading awareness on pregnancy & newborn care, facilitating antenatal care services, institutional deliveries, postnatal care, need for exclusive breastfeeding, immunization services as well as diarrhea management among children.

- 1. HLFPPT, as Patient Provider Support Agency (PPSA) under National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP), received the Award for Outstanding Achievement in Private Sector Engagement 2023 for achieving the Highest Number of Good Performance Districts in 2023 by Central TB Division, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, GoI.
