UNHRC Full Form: The UNHRC is an abbreviation for the United Nations Human Rights Council. It is an intergovernmental body within the United Nations system charged with strengthening the promotion and protection of human rights around the world, as well as addressing and making recommendations on human rights breaches. What is UNHRC
The United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) is a United Nations body whose mission is to promote and protect human rights worldwide. The Council has 47 members elected for staggered three-year terms on a regional group basis. The headquarters of the Council is in Geneva, Switzerland.
The Council investigates allegations of breaches of human rights in United Nations member states. It addresses thematic human rights issues such as –

- Freedom of belief and religion,
- Women’s rights,

Structure of UNHRC
