Dashrath Putra Foundation Launches Initiative Urging Public to Report Commercial Animal Exploitation: In many parts of our country, animals are still used commercially for rides, transport, entertainment, photography and profit-driven activities. Horses are made to walk endlessly on hot roads for joyrides. Camels are forced to carry heavy loads and tourists for long hours. Ponies are overworked in crowded tourist spots. Bullocks are pushed beyond their physical limits. Even donkeys and other working animals silently suffer in markets and construction areas.
People often see this and feel helpless. Some ignore it. Some feel bad but don’t know what to do. We want to say clearly: You are not helpless. You can report. And we will respond.
This initiative aims to transform passive concern into responsible action by giving citizens a clear and structured way to intervene lawfully and compassionately.

The Reality Behind Commercial Animal Use
Horse rides, camel rides, and other animal-based attractions may look harmless on the surface. But behind the scenes, many animals suffer due to:
- Overloading beyond their physical capacity
- Long working hours without proper rest
- No access to clean water
- Poor nutrition
- Lack of veterinary care
- Injuries left untreated
- Forced movement on concrete roads causing joint damage
- Tight harnesses causing wounds and infections
Animals cannot speak. They cannot complain. They cannot demand medical help. They cannot refuse work even when they are injured.
When a horse keeps walking with a limp, when a camel refuses to sit, when a pony looks weak and dehydrated — these are not “normal behaviors.” These are warning signs. Exploitation should never be normalized.
What You Can Do: Reporting Saves Lives
If you see:
- A horse being used continuously for rides in extreme heat
- A camel tied for long hours without water
- An animal bleeding from harness wounds
- An overworked pony in tourist areas
- Any animal being beaten, overburdened, or neglected
Report it to us. Your report can save a life.
You do not need to confront anyone. You do not need to argue. Just inform us with:
- Location details
- Photos or videos (if safely possible)
- Time and date
- Nature of concern
Once we receive a report, our team will verify the situation and conduct a proper ground inspection.
What We Do After a Report
We do not act emotionally. We act responsibly.
When a case is reported, our process includes:
- Field verification
- Health condition assessment
- Veterinary consultation
- Legal evaluation (if cruelty laws are violated)
- Rescue coordination (if required)
If the animal is found to be:
- Medically unfit to work
- Suffering from untreated injuries
- Severely malnourished
- Victim of cruelty or illegal use
Then necessary action will be taken.
And if required — They will spend the rest of their life with us.
DPF – Dashrath Putra Foundation
We at Dashrath Putra Foundation (DPF) are not just speaking, we are working.
Our NGO operates on strong pillars of:
- Animal welfare
- Human service
- Nature protection
- Sanatan values
We run rescue operations for street animals. We provide medical support. We operate helplines. We care for cows (Gau Mata), dogs, monkeys, birds, pigeons and other injured animals.
Our mission is simple:
From exploitation to protection.
From suffering to dignity.
Animals who can no longer work due to injury or abuse deserve retirement with respect — not abandonment.
A Life of Dignity After Rescue
When we say “rest life with us,” it means:
- No more commercial rides
- No more forced road walking
- No more heavy loads
- No more harassment
- Proper food
- Regular health checkups
- Safe shelter
- Dignified living
This approach ensures rehabilitation, recovery and compassionate long-term care for rescued animals.
This Is Not Against Livelihood — It Is Against Cruelty
We understand that many families depend on animals for income. Our intention is not to attack livelihoods. Our intention is to stop cruelty, negligence and overexploitation.
There is a difference between ethical care and abuse.
An animal used for livelihood must:
- Be medically fit
- Have limited working hours
- Receive proper food and hydration
- Get veterinary care
- Be treated with compassion
If these standards are not met, intervention becomes necessary.
Why Your Role Is Important
We cannot be everywhere. Cruelty often continues because people think, “Someone else will report.” Or “This is normal.” Or “This is how it has always been.”
Change begins when one person refuses to ignore suffering.
One message. One report. One inspection. One rescued life.
That is how Ram Rajya values are built, through compassion, dharma and responsibility.
A Message from DPF
Animals are not machines. They are living beings with pain, fear and emotions.
A horse is not a vehicle.
A camel is not a tourist attraction.
A pony is not a toy.
If you witness exploitation in horse rides, camel rides, fairs, tourist spots, markets, religious gatherings or commercial areas — inform us.
We will check.
We will assess.
We will act lawfully and ethically.
And if cruelty is proven, they will retire with dignity under our care.
Let Compassion Be Stronger Than Profit
We believe in a system where:
- No animal is overworked.
- No animal dies in silence.
- No animal is discarded after losing commercial value.
They deserve safety.
They deserve rest.
They deserve dignity.
If you see something wrong, report it.
Together, we can move from exploitation to protection.
Together, we can build a more compassionate society.
Together, we can ensure that those who served humans are not abandoned when they can no longer work.
Dashrath Putra Foundation stands committed.
Report. We respond. We rescue. We rehabilitate. And when needed — we give them a peaceful rest of life with us.
