CRY strives to secure the fundamental rights of children to enjoy a happy childhood, which encompasses the opportunity to live, learn, grow, and play. Its mission is to safeguard the well-being of children, ensuring they have access to free and high-quality education, primary healthcare, and protection from violence, abuse, and exploitation. Furthermore, it endeavours to reduce the incidence of malnutrition in children and empower them to raise their voices on issues that impact their lives. The organisation's key areas of focus include child labour, gender discrimination against girls, poverty, malnutrition, education, child marriage, child trafficking, and gender inequality. CRY also conducts extensive research to identify the underlying causes of issues such as child labour, poverty, and gender discrimination against girls. By understanding these root causes, it attempts to design effective interventions to address these issues and improve the lives of children. Therefore, CRY's work towards protecting children's rights includes conducting research to inform its programmes and advocate for systemic change.
