Amar Seva Sangam is dedicated to empowering persons with disabilities by providing rehabilitation services, promoting their rights, and advocating for an inclusive ecosystem. Established in 1981 by S. Ramakrishnan in Tamil Nadu, ASS offers education, vocational training, and community-based rehabilitation to thousands of individuals annually.
About Us
Amar Seva Sangam (ASSA) is a premier organisation in the field of disability management focusing on rural areas, located in Ayikudy Village in Tirunelveli District in South Tamil Nadu. Our approach is to establish a centralised resource center to act as a catalyst for change in the development of differently abled and intellectually challenged. We do this by involving the village community in the process. Amar Seva Sangam (ASSA) established by Mr. Ramakrishnan, in the International year of the Disabled to cater to disability management focusing on rural areas. Siva Saraswathi Vidyalaya started as a primary school with just 5 students in thatched shed.

Mission
- To establish a "Valley for the Disabled," where individuals with physical and mental challenges live in a proactive society that ensures equality of status, opportunities, and access, integrating them seamlessly with the rest of society
- To empower disabled citizens by creating a rehabilitation and development center and developing models for self-help initiatives that integrate disabled individuals into society, thereby improving living conditions in villages
