Among them are thousands of children growing up with dreams as bright as any other child, yet with opportunities that are painfully limited. For these children, education, something many taken for granted, is not easily accessible. It is uncertain, inconsistent and often out of reach. This is the reality that Global Compassion Foundation (GCF) is working to change.

Table of Contents

Understanding the Challenge

Vision: A Value-Based Non-profit School

Project Components

Significance of the Initiative

Funding and Resource Needs

Collaboration Opportunities

Expected Impact

Understanding the Challenge

The Chakma community, an indigenous minority group, has long faced systemic challenges that affect their access to basic rights and opportunities. In many areas of Mizoram, Chakma children encounter barriers that go far beyond financial hardship. Educational inequality remains one of the most pressing issues. Many children are unable to attend school regularly due to: Poverty and lack of financial resources Inadequate school infrastructure in remote areas Social marginalization and exclusion Language and cultural barriers within mainstream education systems Lack of access to value-based and inclusive learning environments As a result, dropout rates remain high and countless children are left behind, unable to realize their potential. Without meaningful intervention, this cycle of disadvantage continues across generations.

Vision: A Value-Based Non-profit School

A Value-Based Non-profit School Global Compassion Foundation envisions a future where every child, regardless of their background, has access to quality, value-based education. To achieve this, GCF is in the process of establishing a non-profit charity school dedicated to underserved Chakma children. This school is not just a building, it is a centre of transformation, where education goes beyond textbooks and exams. Our vision is to create an environment where children will: Receive holistic education combining academics, ethics, and life skills Develop confidence, leadership and critical thinking abilities Grow in a space that respects and preserves their cultural identity and heritage Experience dignity, inclusion and equal opportunity

Project Components

The proposed school will serve as a model for inclusive and community-centered education.
